Well, I did it. I signed up to travel, experience the world, broaden my horizons, learn about and from other cultures, pick up a new language, internationalize my degree, meet new and exciting people and escape the routine and monotony that is the SFU Business Faculty. Most importantly, I signed up to drink cheap great wine, eat fine cheeses and pastries every day, and travel throughout Europe with new found classmates.
I leave Vancouver on January 2nd and am not returning until June 19th to spend the summer at the Shushwap with my mom. Someone pinch me, I must be dreaming; the next 8 months of my life could not possibly be better (except perhaps if I could bring those close to me along). I will be in school for the majority of the trip, but I am not going to let that slow me down. Who needs sleep when they are in Europe?
This blog is intended to keep those interested up to date with my goings-ons. I will be posting photos and anecdotes that are worth sharing whenever I can. Please, comment or email me, I will be in touch! And so begins the adventure of une Canadienne en France…
