une Canadienne en France

In 7 days I am going to be on another continent. I guess it is time to start packing?

To do:

1. finish my paper for Gervase. Yup, still working on it, 11 months and counting…
2. Money and contract to the landlord in Grenoble. Je suis souhaitant moi ai parlé français à ce moment.
3. pack. How on Earth am I going to fit 6 months worth of goodies into 1 and a half suitcases?
4. spend as much time as possible with friends and boyfriend. I have had to resort to having multiple friend sleepovers; it’s cozy.
5. finish paper for Tom. Of course I signed up to do more for the research project.
6. hand in my PhD application. Wait, first I have to start my PhD application!
7. get back to Vancouver. Greyhound is the bane of my existence.
8. make as many lists as possible to avoid forgetting anything. I will just have to put my Laura-isms into high gear.

Eight’s not so bad. But, for sanity’s sake, I did not include 1a, 1b, 2a, 2b, 2c etc. Which in reality are the tasks necessary to complete the 1, the 2, the 3… Meh, things always work out in the end don’t they? Or is it just my pressure prompted nature that makes me have such a certain reliance on that notion?

I figure, as long as I’m on the right plane on January 2nd, I’m doing fine.
